Novelty Ragtime number written by Felix Arndt in 1915 (as an engagement gift for his fiance, Nola Locke). The present recording (among many others until the 1950's) derived from an Edison Diamond Disc #50960 by the Vicent Lopez Orchestra. Lopez formed his first band in 1917, later entered radio, and was very popular until the 1940's. He appeared on films, with a band which featured musicians who would go on to be famous in their own right, including the Dorseys, Artie Shaw and Glenn Miller...
